Coastal Cleanup & Environmental Sustainability
Driving weekly beach cleanups, urban tree plantation, and zero-waste lifestyle workshops to restore and protect Mumbai's natural marine and green ecosystems.
Program Overview
Weekly Beach & Mangrove Cleanups
Every weekend, our dedicated volunteers gather at Mumbai's prominent beaches and mangrove forests to clear tons of non-biodegradable waste and synthetic debris.
Key environmental actions we execute:
- Removing plastic bottles, bags, and ghost nets from sandy shorelines
- Urban Miyawaki tree plantation drives with 3-year maintenance care
- Conducting educational composting workshops in schools and colleges
Urban Afforestation & Green Cover
To combat rising urban heat and air pollution, we identify barren municipal plots and school grounds to plant indigenous shade-giving and fruit-bearing trees.
- Planting native saplings such as Neem, Peepal, Banyan, and Jamun
- Engaging local youth groups to adopt and water newly planted trees
- Distributing saplings free of cost during monsoon festivals
Waste Segregation & Plastic Recycling
“We collaborate with housing societies and informal ragpickers to establish efficient dry and wet waste segregation systems at the source, ensuring recyclable plastics are diverted away from overflowing landfills.”
